Lodge 696 is warranted on the roll of the Grand Lodge of Ireland in the Province of Down.

The accompanying Memorial for a Warrant was laid before Lodge 144, Lodge No. 142, Lodge 377 at their stated communications held on 26th day of March 1945, 13th day of March 1945 and on the 17th day of April respectively.

 

When it was resolved that the same be recommended to the favourable consideration of Grand Lodge.

Annalong Fish Night.

The Lodges' October communication plays host to the annual "Annalong Fish Night".

 

This is a spectacular feast of seafood that is donated by the members of the Lodge. "Annalong Fish Night".

 

This event has become well renowned in the local Masonic calendar and is looked forward to with great anticipation by members and visitors alike.

 

OUR AUSTRALIAN BRETHREN.

Two Fellowcraft members of Mourne Masonic Lodge travelled to Australia in September 2011 to spend a year working and travelling around Australia. While in Perth, Western Australia they were introduced to members of Southern Cross Lodge No 44 in the Grand Lodge of Western Australia. Following communication between the Grand Lodge of Western Australia and the Grand Lodge of Ireland, a meeting was organised by Southern Cross Lodge No 44 where Bros William Hanna and Thomas Teggarty were duly raised to the sublime Degree of Master Mason. The degree was conferred by the Grand Master and the Grand Lodge Degree Team of the Grand Lodge of Western Australia.
       
March: Currently William and Thomas are in Queensland and have visited Maranoa Lodge, District 60 in the town of Willumbilla, Queensland. On Saturday 17th March they attended the Installation Communication of Corona Lodge No. 318 in Wallumbilla Masonic Centre, South And West Queensland, Australia.

June: On Saturday 2nd June we attended the Installation communication of Baralaba Masonic Lodge No. 437 in Baralamba, Queensland, Australia where Wor. Bro. John W. Lawson was proclaimed as Worshipful Master. At present we are working in the Wallumbilla area mustering and branding cattle, fixing fences and performing general maintenance. featured on page 14 of the May edition of "The Queensland Freemason Magazine" the official magazine of the United Grand Lodge of Queensland.

       
July: Still working in Queensland and we have received invitations to a Lodge meeting on Saturday 21st July and to the Installation Communication of Blackwater Masonic Lodge, No 512 UGLQ on Saturday 28th July in the Masonic Centre, Columba Street, Blackwater. Pictures can be viewed in the photo section.
       
August: We holidayed in Thailand for two weeks and returned home to Northern Ireland on the 2nd September.
